Apple Wonderlust 2023 gave us the entire iPhone 15 series lineup. Apple is notorious when it comes to launches as it never reveals battery capacities and a few more things on the specs sheet right at the launch. The iPhone 15 series was no exception. Cut to now, we have received information on iPhone 15 battery capacities thanks to listings appearing on China’s regulatory portal. Let’s dive in.
iPhone 15 is expected to come with a 3,349mAh battery which is slightly up from 3,279mAh on iPhone 14. Similarly, the entire iPhone 15 lineup has received a tad bit of upgrade over the last year’s models. For instance, the iPhone 15 Plus stands at 4,383 mAh vs. 4,325 mAh on the iPhone 14 Plus. The iPhone 15 Pro models have got their hands on the upgrade as well with a 3,274 and 4,422 mAh battery reporting a north of 70-80 mAh jump in the battery capacities.

Of course, for something coming from Android, an increase of ~100 mAh may seem mediocre. However, Apple has always used smaller batteries with efficient chips and better screens that benefit the battery life. Even with the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, Apple has advertised 23 and 29 hours of battery life with video playback. It remains to be seen if the slight jump in battery life translates to something in real-world conditions.
For now, iPhone 15 and 15 Plus uses a 20W charging tech along with MagSafe at 15W and QI at 7.5W and the iPhone 15 Pro uses the same tech.
