Apple’s annual iPhone Series is expected to launch around September, just like every year. This time though, the company has decided to tweak the series from what it has been launching for years. The iPhone 14 Series will have 4 models this year as well but the iPhone Mini variant is expected to be replaced by iPhone 14 Max. Rest all 3 will remain the same (iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max).

Although there are some chances that the ongoing covid situation in China might delay the launch of the iPhone 14 Series, some others claim that Apple has already started ramping up its production so that the launch can take place on time.

Why is iPhone Mini getting replaced?

As per some reports, Apple is discontinuing iPhone Mini because it tends to have a negative influence on the sales of the iPhone SE Series, which is very important to the company. iPhone SE 2022 which launched earlier this year is currently available starting at Rs. 43,900 for the 64GB storage model and goes up to Rs. 58,900 for the 256GB model.

iPhone 14 Max: Expected specs and features

The iPhone 14 Max features a 6.1-inch display with a big notch. It will be powered by A16 Bionic Chipset and have a minimum of 128GB storage and a maximum of 512GB storage. The iPhone 14 Max is expected to have dual camera sensors on the back and a single sensor at the front. Battery performance is expected to improve too over the iPhone 13 series.

The design of the iPhone 14 Series is expected to get major updates but only for Pro and Pro Max models. iPhone 14 and 14 Max will reportedly have a large notch on the front panel and 2 cameras on the back. Just like iPhone 13, iPhone 14 series will also come in a variety of unique colors.

iPhone 14 Max: Expected Price

The iPhone 14 Max is said to be priced around USD 899 which is Rs. 70,000 approximately. iPhone 14 will be priced marginally less than iPhone 14 Max, say USD 799 while iPhone 14 will cost somewhere around USD 999 and the Pro Max variant USD 1099.

However, due to high import duties, chip shortage, inflation, and GST, smartphones might cost slightly higher in India. Currently, iPhone 13 is available for Rs. 69,900 in the country.

iPhone 14 Series to get iOS 16

Apple is all set to host WWDC 2022 between June 6 and June 10. According to reports, the event will see major announcements from the company in terms of iOS 16. Bloomberg’s Mark Gunman claims that iOS 16 will have major notification improvements, along with improvements to the health app. The company might introduce a new medicine management tool that will let users scan their pill bottles into the app.

Apart from iOS 16, Apple is also expected to release updates for iPadOS 16, macOS 13, tvOS 16, and watchOS 9.
