BenQ Zowie XL2586X+ Gaming Monitor Key Specifications

First and foremost, the gaming monitor features a 24.1-inch LCD screen (16:9) with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and a typical brightness of 320 cd/m². However, its main highlight happens to be the 600Hz refresh rate, for which you require a Windows 11 PC running the latest version, at least an Nvidia RTX 40 series or AMD RX 7000 series graphics card, and a 14th-generation Intel or AMD Ryzen 7000 series CPU.
Along with such a refresh rate, the Zowie gaming monitor offers excellent motion clarity, thanks to the Fast TN panel and DyAc2 technology. For those catching up, Fast Twisted Nematic (FTN) panels are a type of LCD technology known for their extremely fast response times and high refresh rates. While the FTN panels unlock dramatically higher refresh rates, they don’t provide the best viewing angles.

On the other hand, DyAc or Dynamic Accuracy is a proprietary motion blur reduction technology developed by BenQ’s Zowie sub-brand that rapidly strobes the backlight of the display in sync with the refresh rate to combat the motion blur caused by fast-moving objects on the screen. Together, these technologies mitigate the ghosting effect that gamers often experience in fast-paced action sequences of first-person shooter or open-world games.
With the reduced motion blur, gamers can easily track enemies, get a better idea of the recoil, and, in general, react faster to the in-game situations. While these qualities might not be relevant for everyone, they’re absolutely vital for professional and highly competitive gamers.

Additional features of the gaming monitor include a new dual-backlight design, a vivid color film that improves the color performance of the panel (colors don’t look as washed out as on regular TN panels), an Auto Game Mode that automatically adjusts the color modes based on different games, and industrial-grade bearings for the height adjustment mechanism, allowing easier and smoother adjustments.
