TL; DR

  • realme 14 Pro and 14 Pro+ will be launching in January 2025, one month earlier than the usual launch window.
  • The devices will compete with the Redmi Note 14 Pro series and POCO X7 Pro.

The realme 13 Pro (review) and realme 13 Pro+ (review) were known for their impressive cameras, as did the realme 12 Pro and 12 Pro+. There was a 5-6 month gap between the launch of the realme 12 Pro series in February 2024 and the realme 13 Pro series in July 2024. The realme 13 Pro series was a strong competitor against the Redmi Note 13 Pro series.

Now, we have exclusive information about the upcoming realme 14 series. Originally expected to launch in February 2025, the launch has now been preponed for January 2025, bringing the realme 14 Pro and realme 14 Pro+ models much earlier than expected.

The new series should be priced similarly at around ₹30,000 and go head-to-head with rivals like the upcoming Redmi Note 14 Pro series and the POCO X7 Pro, both of which are expected to launch just a month before.

Details on the specifications are scarce but we can expect some camera upgrades and performance upgrades on the two models. We can also expect some battery size upgrades as well as realme UI 6.0 based on Android 15.

Since these phones will be coming earlier than expected, realme might be aiming to stay ahead of the competition in terms of both performance and cameras. Let’s see how they compete with rivals like the Redmi Note 14 Pro series and the POCO X7 Pro.
