Most Indian families face a frustrating choice: buy a small fridge that’s always overflowing, or a massive one that won’t fit through the kitchen door. Haier’s new 5252 series is built to end that struggle. For ₹43,590, it packs a huge 475 liters of storage into a standard double-door design, giving you the room you need without taking over your entire floor.
Space management without the bulk
The headline feature of the new 5252 series is the Double Magic Zones. In a typical Indian household, the fridge is a battlefield of cross-contamination: leftovers, fresh produce, dairy, and often a mix of vegetarian and non-vegetarian items.
These zones allow you to adjust specific compartments between 0°C and 4°C. It’s a simple but effective bit of localization that gives users precise control over storage without needing a dozen airtight containers.
Hygiene as a core feature
Beyond just keeping things cold, Haier is leaning into hygiene with its H-Deo Fresh technology. The company claims it removes up to 99.99 percent of bacteria and neutralizes odors.
Odour management is usually where premium refrigerators, even those from heavyweights like Samsung and LG, tend to fail once the unit is fully loaded with cooked food. If Haier’s tech holds up to real-world leftover curry tests, it could be the sleeper hit of this series.
Cooling and Efficiency Breakdown
Haier claims a 360° Surround Cooling feature that does air circulate evenly to prevent hotspots in the corners, a common issue in larger top-mount models. There’s also 3S Eco Mode, which is a new energy-saving mode that Haier says can cut electricity consumption by up to 6% during low-load periods. Interestingly, the 5252 series comes with Twin Inverter Technology, which allows both the fan and the compressor to run at variable speeds, which should result in a quieter kitchen and more stable internal temperatures.
Built for Indian power realities
Haier understands that in many parts of India, reliable power is still an aspiration. The 5252 Series features SolarConnect compatibility, allowing it to run on rooftop solar setups or home backup systems.
Combined with stabilizer-free operation (160V to 270V), the fridge is essentially armored against the voltage fluctuations and power cuts that are part of life in both urban and semi-urban India.

Availability
The series is available now in two premium finishes: Graphite Black and Black Glass. You can find them across major e-commerce platforms and retail stores like Croma and Reliance Digital.
