TL; DR
  • A massive 7,000mAh battery promises multi-day endurance for power-hungry users on a budget.
  • The move from AMOLED to LCD prioritizes battery gains over superior screen contrast.
  • MediaTek’s Dimensity chipset and Android 16 drive this upcoming mid-range smartphone refresh.

A new Geekbench listing for a smartphone with model number “CPH2943,” widely believed to be the OnePlus Nord CE 6 Lite, has sent reviewers into a bit of a frenzy.

Screenshots of the Geekbench listing have been posted on X (formerly Twitter) by renowned tipster Abhishek Yadav.

Nord CE 6 Lite Tipped To Feature Dimensity 7400 SoC

As seen in the listing, the Nord CE 6 Lite could be powered by the Dimensity 7400 SoC (with up to four 2.60 GHz performance cores) and the Mali-G615 MC2 GPU, paired with 8GB of RAM.

On the handset, the chipset scored 1,068 points in the single-core test and 2,953 points in the multi-core test. The scores are slightly higher than the vivo T5x (review), which uses the Dimensity 7400 Turbo chip and up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM, with 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

In the segment, the Nord CE 6 Lite runs slightly behind the other phones, but the difference shouldn’t be noticeable.

Anyway, the smartphone should offer a slight performance boost over the Nord CE 4 Lite. Given that the Dimensity 7400 and the Dimensity 7400 Turbo are almost identical chipsets, it looks like the Nord CE 6 Lite could come with LPDDR5X RAM, which could boost scores.

The model that underwent the Geekbench CPU test ran on Android 16, which is a good sign, and the consumer-ready version of the smartphone will almost certainly land with OxygenOS 16.

What About The Phone’s Other Specifications?

Elsewhere, the Nord CE 6 Lite could launch in India next month — in May — along with the Nord CE 6. Other leaks suggest that the smartphone. What’s odd, however, is that the CE 6 Lite is rumored to sport a 6.7-inch 120Hz LCD screen, even though the two-year-old Nord CE 4 Lite came with a 120Hz AMOLED screen.

If that happens, the phone would also lose the in-screen fingerprint scanner and instead feature a side-mounted scanner. Other rumored specifications include a 7,000 mAh battery that supports 80W fast wired charging, a 50MP primary camera, and a 16MP selfie shooter. Given that the phone doesn’t.
