The Chinese sub-brand Honor owned by Huawei Technologies has launched an entry-budget smartphone Honor Play 9A. With few significant upgrades, the device is the successor of Honor Play 8A. As of now, the phone has been launched only in China and there’s no word on its arrival in India.
Honor Play 9A Features:
The company has launched the Honor Play 9A with a 6.3-inch display size having a screen resolution of 720×1600 pixels. The screen-to-body ratio of the device is 20:9. The screen of Honor Play 9A features a waterdrop notch to house the 8MP front camera. The back panel touts a gradient design with a fingerprint reader for secure unlock and the camera setup.

The Honor Play 9A is laced with dual cameras at the back. The primary sensor has a 13MP sensor with f/1.8 aperture and is aided by a basic 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The camera module also offers an LED flash to click pictures in low light surroundings. The new Honor smartphone offers video recording up to 1080p@30fps.
Honor has used an octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 SoC to power up the new Play 9A. The chipset is coupled with IMG PowerVR GE8320 graphics card, 4GB RAM, 64/128GB inbuilt memory and a microSD card slot to expand the storage. The phone gets Honor’s Magic UI skin based on the Android 10 operating system.
The Honor Play 9A gets its power supply from a beefy 5000mAh capacity battery and accepts 10W charging via MicroUSB port. The other connectivity options on offer include 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 5.0, dual 4G support, and VoLTE support.

Honor Play 9A Price and Availability
The price of Honor Play 9A for China market starts at CNY 899, roughly around Rs. 9,560. The phone is currently available in Night Black, Blue Emerald, and Jasper Green color variants. There is no confirmation for the global or India launch yet.
