How to Add Profiles of Family Members on Your mAadhaar Application

The Aadhaar Number is a unique 12-digit identification number that is different for every individual living in India. It is proof of one’s identity and address as a resident of the country. To make modifications to Aadhaar data easier, UIDAI announced the mAadhaar app that is free to use and can be used for a number of purposes.

One of these purposes can be creating a profile and adding profiles of family members on the mAadhaar app. The process to create and add the profiles of your family members is very simple.

Creating a Profile on the mAadhaar app

  • Open the mAadhaar application and click on the ‘Register Aadhaar tab’.
  • Create a 4-digit PIN and memorize it for future use.
  • Enter a valid Aadhaar number and key in the captcha.
  • You will get an OTP on your registered number, enter the OTP and click on Submit.
  • After ensuring that the profile is registered, the tab will show the Aadhaar name that had been registered earlier.
  • Open the bottom menu and select the ‘My Aadhaar’ option.
  • Key in the 4-digit password and My Aadhaar dashboard will show the created profile.

Adding Family Members’ Profiles

Requirements

  • One has to be a registered member on the Aadhaar app with their mobile number.
  • Family members should also have their Aadhaar cards with a registered mobile number.

Steps

  • Open the mAadhaar app and select the add profile option.
  • Key in the Aadhaar card number of your family member.
  • Confirm the details displayed on the screen and accept the terms and conditions.
  • The family member you are registering will get an OTP on their registered mobile number. Ask them to share that OTP and enter it in the app.
  • Verify and the family member’s profile will be added to your app.

Note- one can add up to 5 family member profiles only to their app. Also, the family members whose profiles have been added to your app are consenting to share their aadhaar details, KYC, and more with you as you can access all the information with your PIN.

  • The app can be accessed at any time and from any place across India.
  • The details about Aadhaar can be viewed offline as well.
  • A single device can store the Aadhaar information of up to 5 family members.
  • The app is safe with biometric and password protection.
