Step #1: First up, you need to go to https://parivahan.gov.in on your desktop or smartphone.
Step #2: Next, tap on the Online Services tab on the navigation bar and select “Vehicle Related Services” from the dropdown menu.
Step #3: Choose the “State Name” from the drop-down menu which shouldn’t take more than a few moments.
Step #4: You will be asked to either register (if you haven’t already) or you can log in using the credentials you provided when signing up for the first time around.
Step #5: Next up, enter the registration number of your vehicle on the website and then select “State RTO” from the menu.
Step #6: Next, tap on the “Download Document” tab and then, click on the RC Print option.
Step #7: You need to enter vehicle details on this page which includes vehicle registration number and chassis number and then, Validate it.
Step #8: The portal will trigger an OTP on the registered phone number that you need to intercept and enter on the screen.
Step #9: You should be able to download the RC Online in PDF format without any hassle.

How To Download RC Online Using Digilocker?
This is an alternative method that you can use should you find the Vahan e-Service method confusing or can’t access the website for XYZ reasons.
Step #1: First up, go to www.digilocker.gov.in on your device or you can download the DigiLocker app available on both Android and iOS.
Step #2: Next, you will need to register on DigiLocker in case it is your first time trying the app. If not, you can simply log in. The website/app takes the Aadhar card number and other details for registration.
Step #3: Once you log in, you need to go to the “Documents” tab.
Step #4: Proceed to the “Get more issued documents” option on the screen.
Step #5: You need to select “Ministry of Road and Transport” on the screen.
Step #6: On the next screen/page, tap on the “Registration of Vehicles” tab and proceed.
Step #7: Here, you will have to enter your vehicle’s details including registration number, chassis number, etc. Please do verify the information before proceeding.
Step #8: Tap on the “Get Document” option.
Step #9: Redirect to the “Issued Documents” tab on the app/website and you should be able to spot your RC book available for download in PDF form.
