Adobe is working to expand the reach of its highly appreciated product – Photoshop by offering it for free. That’s right, the software giant is providing Photoshop for free with some basic features to web users.

How to get Adobe Photoshop for free

Adobe is currently running a Photoshop beta program that ultimately offers access to the free web version. Users need to fill out a short survey in order to take part in the beta program. Once users sign in with a valid account and complete the survey, he/she can access the free web version of Photoshop.

Is Adobe Photoshop free Web version available to all?

No, that’s the catch. Currently, this freemium service is available to the users staying in Canada only.

Adobe Photoshop Free Web Version Features

Adobe had first rolled out the free web version of Photoshop back in October offering some basic editing features. Though the list of freemium features didn’t meet the most requirement back then, now, the company has added some more features to the list.

Maria Yap, Adobe’s VP of digital imaging said during the announcement of the new rollout, “We want to make it more accessible and easier for more people to try it out and experience the product. I want to see Photoshop meet users where they’re at now. You don’t need a high-end machine to come into Photoshop.”

Previously, Adobe offered a collaboration tool for artists to work on images for a collective experience. Extending the list of features, Adobe will now offer additional features that include:

  • Refine edges
  • Create curve layers
  • Dodge and burn
  • Convert Smart Objects
  • Mobile support for reviewing and commenting on images
