Huawei Y9 (2019) with 6.5-inch Display Launched in India: Price, Specifications, and Details

Huawei Y9 (2019) is the successor to the 2018 edition by the same name and the first arrival of a Huawei smartphone to the Indian subcontinent in 2019. It was initially set to launch on January 7, but it got a bit delayed. Anyways, its here now and here is all you need to know.

Huawei Y9 (2019) Features

The phone sports a 6.5-inch, full-HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The FullView Display has a TÜV Rheinland certified eye-protect mode which means that the phone can successfully filter out all the harsh blue frequencies when you switch to eye-comfort mode. 

Notably, the 3D arc curved design facilitates a good ergonomic factor. Moreover, it adds to the aesthetics of Midnight Black, Sapphire Blue, and Aurora Purple colors. Huawei has slapped its EMUI 8.2 skin over Android 8.1 Oreo ROM, which comes with all noted bells and whistles. 

Following the trend, this phone also features a traditional top-notch housing a dual front camera set up, with 16-megapixel and 2-megapixel sensors. There is a vertical dual shooter setup of 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. Huawei has sprinkled AI features in its quad camera setup with 500 scene recognition modes.

Huawei Y9 (2019) is powered by HiSilicon Kirin 710 SoC along with Mali – G51MP4 GPU. As for RAM, you get 3GB and 4GB options. The onboard storage of the phone is 64GB which is expandable up to 400GB using an external memory card. The phone is equipped with the endurance capacity of a 4000mAh battery.

You would find the fingerprint sensor at the back with a Fingerprint 4.0 identification support. The device also features the Talkeasy AI’s capability which picks up the ambient noise from the speaker’s environment and enhances the volume of the audio with NICAM technology to deliver a clear conversation.

The phone will be available exclusively at Amazon India. The sale would start from January 15, 2019. Huawei will also bundle Boat Rockerz Sports Bluetooth headphones worth Rs. 2,990. The phone also comes with the support of Histen5.0, which simulates surround sound, enhances bass frequencies and is optimized for headphone performance to deliver extraordinary immersion.
