Transsion Holdings’ online brand Infinix launched its Hot 9 series in India on May 29. These phones were first introduced in Indonesia on March 24 and will serve as the successor to Infinix Hot 8 launched last year.
The Hong Kong-based brand has announced two smartphones- Infinix Hot 9 and Hot 9 Pro. Both the devices feature gem cut texture on the back and a punch-hole display. The Infinix Hot 9 and Hot 9 Pro comes with similar specs with a few differences.

Infinix Hot 9 and Hot 9 Pro Specs
Both of the new models of the Infinix Hot 9-series get a 6.6-inch HD+ display with a 90.5% screen-to-body ratio and 480 nits brightness. The back panel has a 2.5D glass finish and 2.5D curved glass at the front with narrow bezels and a punch hole cut-out at the left corner. 12nm process-based MediaTek Helio P22 octa-core chipset handles the performance of Hot 9-Series phones with GE8320 GPU for graphics. There is 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage with a dedicated SD card slot for expansion up to 256GB.
The Infinix Hot 9 and Hot 9 Pro features a quad-camera set up with different primary sensors. The Hot 9 Pro has a 48MP primary sensor while Hot 9 settles for a 13MP main camera. Other camera sensors remain the same for both models which comprise a 2MP depth sensor, a 2MP macro lens, and a low-light sensor. The Hot 9 Pro gets quad-LED flash while Hot 9 has a triple LED flash. For selfie, the front camera has an 8MP sensor with modes like portrait and wide-angle.

Both of these Infinix phones have beefy 5000mAh battery with a micro USB port of charging. For security, fingerprint sensor and face unlock support are provided. The phones run on the brand’s own XOS 6.0 Dolphin UI powered by the Android 10 operating system. Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi, 3.5mm jack, and DTS-HD surround sound are among other key features.
Infinix Hot 9 and Hot 9 Pro Price and Availability
The Infinix Hot 9 is listed on Flipkart at the price of Rs 8,499 and Hot 9 Pro will retail for Rs 9,499. The Infinix Hot 9 Pro will go on sale from June 5 while Hot 9 will hit the shelves on June 8. Hot 9 phones are available in two color options – Ocean Wave and Violet.
