At CES 2021, Intel has unveiled a new range of processors for thin and light gaming laptops under its H-brand. Now generally, the H-series is supposed to be the company’s highest-end offering (with 45W TDP), but in this case, the new H-35 chips are clipped at 35W power limits. These will thus find a place in between the U-series and the top-trim H-series. Meanwhile, more powerful chips are en-route.

Here are more details —

Intel H-35 Series Specs

These are quad-core processors with 35W max TDP and are based on a 10nm architecture. There are three of them namely, i7-11375H, i7-11370 H, and i7-11300H. Off the lot, the 5GHz Core i7 “Special Edition” codenamed 11375H is claimed to be on par with 45-watt H-series chips of last year and around 30% snappier than AMD 4800HS.

As for graphics, these rely on the in-house XE-LP iGPU. They could also bundle discreet solutions from partners like Nvidia. Among other things, the new chips also feature Intel Killer Wi-Fi 6 or 6E, Thunderbolt 4, DDR4 memory at up to 3,200 MHz LPDDR4/x at up to 4,266 MHz, and PCIe Gen 4.0.

Meanwhile, the company is already teasing the 8-core Tiger Lake H processors with PCIe 4 support, 11th gen Rocket Lake processors with 8-cores and up to 19% performance improvement over its predecessor (i9-10900K), and 12th-Gen Alder Lake processors with a promise of“significant breakthrough in x86 architecture and Intel’s most power-scalable system-on-chip”.
