Reliance Jio has been in news for its affordable devices like JioPhone Next and JioBook laptop being made for the masses. Now it seems the company is finally moving towards the launch of their JioBook Laptop. Recently, the device was spotted getting Hardware approval, the proof for which has been shared below.

The Hardware Approval document has leaked some specs of the JioBook Laptop. The specs that have been revealed indicate that this JioBook can shake the laptop market in India.

The laptop by Reliance bears the Product ID of 400830078 and will run Android 10 out of the box. The laptop is said to be eligible for Windows 11 upgrade. There is a high chance that Jio will offer some different versions of Windows 10 to bring the costs down.

The listing has also confirmed that the device will have an ARM processor. It shows the company name as Emdoor Digital Technology Co Ltd. Which means that Jio has entered into a contract with a third-party vendor for laptops but will sell them under Jio Branding.

Other than this information, we don’t know anything new about JioBook Next as of now. Earlier reports had claimed that JioBook was spotted on BIS and Geekbench in the past. The Geekbench listing confirmed that it will run Android 11 which contradicts with latest reports. This means either there was an error or there is more than 1 variant of JioBook in the making. The JioBook on Geekbench was listed with MediaTek MT8788 SoC with 2GB RAM.

Jio has not confirmed anything about the JioBook as of now but has hinted that it is planning to expand its product portfolio in near future. These include Jio Tablet and a new Jio TV. These two are expected to launch this year and will be placed in the ultra-affordable price range.
