MG Motor is gearing up to shake up India’s full-size SUV segment with the all-new MG Majestor, a bold and imposing three-row SUV that builds upon the brand’s premium ambitions.
The Majestor enters the market with aggressive styling, feature-loaded interiors, and a powerful twin-turbo diesel engine, clearly positioning itself against heavyweights like the Toyota Fortuner, Skoda Kodiaq, Jeep Meridian, and the Volkswagen Tayron R-Line.

MG Majestor: Variant-Wise Pricing

The MG Majestor will be available in India in three models: Sharp RWD, Sharp 4WD, and Savvy 4WD. However, the automaker hasn’t revealed the official pricing yet. Below are the expected ex-showroom prices for the full-size SUV.
- MG Majestor Sharp RWD: Rs. 48 lakhs (ex-showroom)
- MG Majestor Sharp AWD: Rs. 43 lakhs (ex-showroom)
- MG Majestor Savvy AWD: Rs. 48 lakhs (ex-showroom)
Pre-bookings of the vehicle are live at the company’s dealerships for Rs. 41,000 (one of the highest token amounts I’ve seen for a car in a while). While the company is expected to unveil the official pricing in April 2026, deliveries should commence in May.
MG Majestor: Design
Exterior
Despite some outlets calling the MG Majestor charming and subtle, I’d say that it carries an aggressive, rugged, and dominating road presence, characteristics that are quite evident in the SUV’s front fascia.
Even though the SUV is based on the Gloster, it features a heavily revised fascia with a massive gloss-black grille (with a glossy black finish), a split LED headlamp setup, slim LED DRLs positioned toward the top, a chunky front skid plate in satin finish, and broad character lines.

From the side, the Majestor is longer than the Gloster, features a strong shoulder line, body cladding, and wheel arches at the bottom, and new 19-inch alloy wheels that are in proportion to the rest of the car’s size.
On the rear, the car features a new connected LED taillight setup, a flatter tailgate, thick cladding at the bottom, twin exhaust outlets, and massive “Majestor” lettering at the bottom. I’d say that the lettering is a bit overkill, especially since they already have the Morris Garrages branding at the bottom of the rear windshield.
Colors: Pearl White, Metal Black, Metal Ash, and Concrete Grey.

Interior

On the inside, the SUV offers a clean and subtle interior loaded with tech features. The first touchpoint for the driver, the steering (with audio and driving assistance controls), is the one we’ve already seen on the Gloster.
Then there’s a floating touchscreen infotainment system at the center of the dashboard, rectangular AC vents, physical controls for the HVAC system, two rotatory knobs for the four-wheel-drive system, and dual wireless charging pads. The seats get a dual-tone leatherette treatment (black-and-gray).

Regarding cabin features, the Majestor comes with a 12.3-inch infotainment system, a fully digital driver’s cluster, a 12-speaker JBL sound system, 12-way power-adjustable, ventilated, and massaging front seats, three-zone automatic climate control, a built-in air purifier, a powered tailgate, and a panoramic sunroof. There’s a multi-color ambient lighting system in place as well.
Given that the Majestor is available in six and seven-seater options, the second row, depending on the variant, will feature either a bench-type seat or captain seats (with ventilation and massaging functions). Rear passengers also get a dedicated climate control system with a screen.

MG Majestor: Powertrain
For now, the MG Majestor has been announced with a 2-liter twin-turbo diesel engine that produces a peak power of 215 PS and a peak torque of 478 Nm, which makes it slightly more powerful but less torquey than the Fortuner’s top trim.

While the Majestor’s diesel engine is mated to an 8-speed AT transmission, the Fortuner is available only with a 6-speed AT. Furthermore, the 4WD variant offers 10 off-road modes, 810 mm of water wading capacity, and triple differential locks.
MG Majestor: Safety Features
The SUV comes with six airbags as standard, along with safety features like electronic stability control (ESC), hill hold assist (HHA), a 360-degree camera setup, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), front and rear parking sensors, and a comprehensive ADAS suite, which should include features like adaptive cruise control and lane departure warnings.

MG Majestor: Launch Timeline

Given that the company has announced the new MG Majestor in India, it should start reaching showrooms soon so potential buyers can experience the car in person.
However, the public release shouldn’t take place until April (along with the official pricing of the company). Those who book the Majestor should get their vehicle from May 2026 onward.
Among the top rivals of the MG Majestor include the Toyota Fortuner, the Skoda Kodiaq, the Jeep Meridian, and the Volkswagen Tayron R-Line.
