Kia EV6 color variants were spied before the official launch in India

Kia’s first electric car – EV6 is all set to debut in India in the month of June 2022. The company is all set to start taking pre-orders from May 26 in India. Just before its official launch, the EV6 in four different colors was clicked in India. These EV Indian color variants include White, Silver, Red, and Black colors.

Kia motor’s Indian arm is really upbeat about the EV6 car as they posted a drag race video competing against Lamborghini Urus, Mercedes-AMG GT, McLaren 570S, Porsche 911 Targa 4, and Ferrari California. It manages to out-pace every car except McLaren 570S which is not an easy feat.

Kia EV6: What should you expect?

The Kia EV6 is based on Hyundai Motors’ is Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP). The upcoming EV6 sports a curvy and aerodynamics trim to exhibit a luxurious look from both inside and outside. The spied colour variants promise premium looks.

Designwise, Kia EV6 will ship with a slim glossy black front grille, alloy wheels, wheel arch molding, angular LED headlamps with DRLs, flush-design door handles, and wide brake light on the back. It has a swept-back windshield and an aerodynamically designed roof spoiler. 

Kia EV6 will offer dual panoramic 12.3-inch displays to provide infotainment and driver info cluster. For advanced features, Kia EV6 will be equipped with an augmented reality head-up display (HUD) for navigation and Virtual Valet Parking Assist for autonomously parking and controlling. It will support smart connectivity through the Kia Connect app.

For the powertrain, it will be packed with a 58kWh and a 77.4kWh battery setup offering rear-wheel drive(RWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) options. The 58kWh pack in RWD format has a single motor to produce 170hp while AWD is equipped with a dual-motor with an efficiency of 235hp output.

The 77.4kWh battery pack has a single 229hp motor in the RWD option and a 325hp dual-motor setup in the AWD variant. Kia EV6 is claimed to offer a range of up to 510km depending on the variants. It is said to take 4.6 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100kmph and can achieve 260kmph of top speed.

Kia EV6 Expected Price

Kia EV6 is priced at $40,900 (around Rs 31,71,900)  in the US markets but is expected to be priced at Rs 50-60 lakh in India as it will land in the country as completely built units (CBU).
