MediaTek launched new processors for multiple devices; Know details

MediaTek, after recently launching the Dimensity 9200 processor, has released multiple new chipsets for different devices. The latest SoCs launched by MediaTek are the Pentonic 1000 processor, T800 processor, Kompanio 520, and Kompanio 528 processor for Chromebooks. Here we will discuss the specifications and features of the three processors.

MedaiTek Pentonic 1000 SoC specs

The Pentonic 1000 processor is a flagship chipset by MediaTek for Smart TVs that offer 4K 120Hz resolution. It supports WiFi 6 and 6E, MEMC for smoother video, a strong AI processor, Dolby Vision IQ with Precision Detail, and 8-screen Intelligent View. The chipset also supports modern video codecs and global TV broadcast standards. Its on-chip AI engine provides industry-leading AI performance along with power efficiency. In this processor, MediaTek has enhanced AI-Super Resolution (AI-SR) technology making FHD look like 4K. In addition, Ai-PQ Scene Recognition and AI-PQ Object Recognition also improve the picture quality to realistic depth perception.

MediaTek T800 SoC specs

The MediaTek T800 processor solution for sub-6GHz along with mmWave 5G networks. It improves the 5G applications and experiences. The processor supports 7.9Gbps downloads and uploads of up to 4.2Gbps. Not only this, but the chipset also supports dual 5G SIM and includes a small modem with a 3GPP Release-16 5G cellular modem, ET chip, MLNA, PMICs, GNSS receiver, etc. The processor is based on the 4nm manufacturing process. It also has support for mixed duplex FDD/TDD connections as well as connections up to 4CC-CA.

MediaTek Kompanio 520 and Kompanio 528 SoCs specs

The MediaTek Kompanio series processors are specially designed for Chromebooks. These processors enhance the computational performance and battery life of entry-level Chromebooks. Both the chipsets feature two premium Arm Cortex-A76 CPU cores along with an improved dual-core graphics engine for smooth and responsive performance. The processors have a dual-core AI Processing Unit (APU) to magnify AI enhancements along with AI camera functions. These brands can use MediaTek’s Filogic WiFi 6 solutions along with Kompanio processors to make streaming and cloud gaming fast paced and highly reliable.
