MG Windsor Essence Pro vs. Competition: Key Takeaways
- The BE 6 is the longest and widest in the comparison. The Windsor Essence Pro, however, is the tallest car in the segment and should provide additional headroom for tall passengers.
- Regarding storage capacity, the Windsor Essence Pro leads the segment with 579 liters of boot space, while the Curvv EV comes second with 500 liters of boot space.
- Of the seven vehicles in the comparison, the Mahindra BE 6 offers the highest ground clearance (207 mm), followed by the XUV400 (200 mm).
- Unsurprisingly, the longest vehicle in the comparison — BE 6 — provides the longest wheelbase (2,775 mm). The Maruti Suzuki e-Vtara and MG Windsor Pro tie for second place (with a wheelbase of 2,700 mm).
- The Windsor Essence Pro doesn’t have the largest battery (52.9 kWh) in the segment. It comes second after the Mahindra BE 6 (59 kWh).
- There’s a huge gap in the claimed range, too. While the BE 6 offers a range of 556 kilometers, the Windsor Essence Pro claims to last 449 kilometers between charges. On the other hand, Tata’s Curvv EV provides a claimed range of 502 kilometers.
- If you’re looking for raw performance, then the 231 PS of peak power and 380 Nm of peak torque of the Mahindra BE 6 can impress you. In fact, the only other car to provide a peak torque over 300 Nm is another Mahindra – the XUV400.
- The Mahindra BE 6 supports the fastest charging in the comparison (140 kW DC charging).
- Last but not least, the Windsor Pro’s 18-inch alloy wheels are smaller than the 19-inch wheels on the BE 6.
