Mivi, the Hyderabad-based audio brand known for its earbuds and speakers, has entered the smartphone market with the Mivi One 5G. It is the company’s first smartphone and will be sold exclusively through Flipkart.
The launch marks a new category for Mivi, with Himanshu Tandon leading the company’s smartphone business after previously heading POCO India and running CMF by Nothing’s business.
Mivi One 5G Price and Offers
The Mivi One 5G is priced at ₹14,999 for 4GB+128GB, ₹15,999 for 6GB+128GB and ₹16,999 for 8GB+128GB.
The first sale during Flipkart’s Big Billion Days will bring those prices down to ₹11,999, ₹13,499 and ₹14,999, respectively. The sale starts at midnight on October 8.
Flipkart is also offering bank discounts from Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank and SBI Card. These include up to ₹1,000 off on UPI transactions or ₹1,000 off on exchange, depending on the offer.
Mivi One 5G Specifications
The Mivi One 5G runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2, paired with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. Mivi is highlighting the Snapdragon chipset as one of the phone’s main selling points, with most competing phones in this price segment using MediaTek chips.
It has a 6.75-inch HD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a notch for the front camera, plus a huge chin.
The phone packs a 6,000 mAh battery with 18W charging. Camera duties are handled by a 50MP Samsung JN1 1/2.76-inch sensor on the rear and an 8MP front camera.
The phone ships with Android 16, which Mivi says comes without ads or bloatware. The company has also committed to two major Android version updates.
Other hardware includes a single bottom-firing speaker, USB 2.0, Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1. There’s also expandable storage, a hybrid SIM slot and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The Mivi One 5G measures 9.15 mm thick and weighs over 200 grams.
Mivi One 5G Enters a Crowded Segment
Mivi is entering one of the most competitive parts of the Indian smartphone market, where pricing, specifications and launch offers play a major role.
The company is also relying heavily on Flipkart for its first smartphone, with aggressive Big Billion Days pricing putting the base model at ₹11,999 during the first sale.
Mivi says it has over 500 service centres and pick-and-drop service across more than 19,000 PIN codes. How that support network performs with a smartphone will be important as the company moves beyond its established audio business.
