A few days ago, we reported about Motorola working on its next generation of foldable series which will include Moto Razr 50 and Moto Razr 50 Ultra. Now, the upcoming foldables have surfaced online in the form of renders that suggest the launch is imminent. Not only renders, some key specs of the foldables have also been tipped. Reportedly, the cover screen size of the foldables has been increased.

Moto Razr 50 Series: Renders

Reliable tipster Evan Blass aka @evleaks has shared some renders of the Moto Razr 50 and Razr 50 Ultra via microblogging platform X (formerly Twitter). The renders show foldables sporting a larger cover screen than their predecessors. Moto Razr 50 is said to feature a 3.3-inch P-OLED screen as opposed to the Razr 40 which had a merely 1.5-inch outer display.
Moto Razr 50 Ultra renders show the foldable with an outer display that is slightly larger than Razr 50’s 3.3-inch panel. It is shown in three color models- blue, green, and peach.

The specs for Moto Razr 50 and Moto Razr 50 Ultra have been shared by the publication Deal N Tech. According to the publication, the Moto Razr 50 will sport a dual camera setup that will include a 50MP main and a 13MP secondary camera. At the front will be a 6.9-inch P-OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a hole punch selfie camera. The foldable is tipped to be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7300X chipset. The chipset will be paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage onboard. It is expected to run Android 14 out of the box and pack a 4200mAh battery under the hood. Reports also claim that it will weigh 188 grams and measure 171x74x7.2mm.

Moto Razr 50 Ultra will also be equipped with a 6.9-inch P-OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is the successor to Razr 40 Ultra and will be powered by Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The clamshell style foldable is expected to feature a 50MP main and a 50MP telephoto camera at the back along with a 32MP camera at the front. It will pack a 4000mAh battery and feature an IPX8 rating for water resistance.
Motorola launched the Moto Razr 40 Series in June 2023 in global markets, post which the foldables came to India in July. This time too the company might adopt a similar approach and launch the Razr 50 Series globally in June followed by an India launch in July.
