TL; DR
  • The Motorola Signature is said to feature a 6.8-inch 1.5K LTPO AMOLED panel with a peak refresh rate of 165Hz (similar to the OnePlus 15).
  • Under the hood, the handset could sport the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC (not the 8 Elite Gen 5, though), paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage.
  • According to the tipster, the phone’s maximum retail price, as mentioned on the box, is Rs. 84,999 for the top-end variant with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.

After unveiling the Motorola Signature at the CES 2026, the Lenovo-owned smartphone brand seems to be headed to the Indian market. According to an Indian tipster, the Signature handset could release in India on January 23, 2026.

If the brand’s history is anything to go by, the smartphone will likely be available to purchase on Flipkart. Whether it will be a Flipkart-exclusive is something we’re yet to find out. That said, let’s have a look at the flagship’s specifications.

Motorola Signature Specifications (Leaked)

  • Thickness: 7mm
  • Weight: 186 grams

The Motorola Signature is said to feature a 6.8-inch 1.5K LTPO AMOLED panel with a peak refresh rate of 165Hz (similar to the OnePlus 15). Under the hood, the handset could sport the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC (not the 8 Elite Gen 5, though), paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage.

  • Writer’s Note: 8 Elite Gen 5 > 8 Elite > 8 Gen 5 > 8 Gen 3

Regarding optics, the handset is said to feature a triple 50MP camera array, including a 50MP LYT828 primary camera, a 50MP ultrawide camera with autofocus (which might double as a macro sensor), and a 50MP LYT600 camera paired with a 3x periscope lens (up to 100x digial zoom). On the front, users may get a 50MP selfie shooter.

Now, coming to one of the most crucial aspects of the handset, the Motorola Signature might sport a modest 5,200 mAh battery that supports 90W wired and 50W wireless charging. This is the one aspect where I’m worried the phone might not stand well against its contemporaries, primarily because most of them include a 6,000+ mAh battery.

Anyways, connectivity options on the smartphone include Bluetooth v6.0, NFC, and a USB 3.2 Type-C port (along with support for 5G and Wi-Fi). Finally, Lenovo could also equip the smartphone with an IP68/69 rating for dust and water resistance, instilling confidence in the handset’s durability.

Motorola Signature Price (Leaked)

According to the tipster, the phone’s maximum retail price, as mentioned on the box, is Rs. 84,999 for the top-end variant with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. But when was the last time a phone actually sold on the printed MRP?

The company will either offer introductory deals (bundle the phone with TWS earbuds, offer bank discounts, or pre-reservation benefits) and list it at a lower retail price of around Rs. 75,000-80,000.

It will only be at this price that the phone will provide a unique advantage over models like the OnePlus 15 (review), iQOO 15 (review), vivo X300 (review), and the Find X9 (review): higher RAM and storage (but with a slightly underpowered processor).

Motorola could also sell the phone in other memory and storage variants: 16GB + 512GB. These variants could command even higher prices of around Rs. 70,000, respectively. Please remember that this remains a speculation at the moment, and the company hasn’t confirmed anything yet.

In the United Kingdom, the 16GB + 512GB variant of the Signature is currently available for £899.99, which is about Rs. 1,10,000. However, the brand is offering free Moto Buds Loop and Moto Watch Fit (worth £290.98) with the device, the phone’s price comes out around £609.99, which is around Rs. 75,000 (makes much more sense).
