Hyundai is all set to launch its latest Venue sub-compact SUV early next month. The new Venue comes as the first post-festive launch in the country and there is quite a lot of anticipation around this, given the popularity that the Hyundai Venue has gained in India in the last couple of years.

New-Gen Hyundai Venue launch details
The next generation of the Hyundai Venue is all set to launch on November 4 at a launch event in Delhi where the brand will reveal the prices for the new Hyundai Venue.
New-Gen Hyundai Venue design
In terms of design, the Hyundai Venue is set to get a massive overhaul. The brand will now bring the car in-line with its latest design language that the new Hyundai Creta and Hyundai Alcazar follow. Speaking more objectively, the car will be 3,995 mm long, 1,800 mm wide, and 1,655 mm tall, making it the same length as the previous Hyundai Venue, but this one is taller by 48mm and wider by 30mm as compared to the previous generation Hyundai Venue. Even the wheelbase has grown by 20mm – from 2,500mm in the older version to 2,520 in the newer Venue.

Apart from the size, other notable changes on the new Hyundai Venue include a new front which has connecting headlamps with L-shaped DRLs, a large silver skid plate, and a new rectangle-shaped grille. The styling has enhanced on the new and upcoming Hyundai Venue, making the older one now look rather dated.
On the sides also, we are getting a thicker, more squared-off body cladding as compared to the existing model, along with a smooth profile and a boxier glass area with larger and more angular roof rails, new 16-inch alloy wheels, and newly designed rear view mirrors.
New-Gen Hyundai Venue Interiors
Inside also, there is a major overhaul in terms of what you get with the new Hyundai Venue. We are getting a new, more premium dashboard layout with a dual-screen setup. This comes as a significant step-up from the previous Hyundai Venue thanks to a completely refreshed dashboard layout and a new dual-tone colour scheme. We are getting a 12.3-inch infotainment system along with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster with the new Hyundai Venue. The current Venue, on the other hand, comes with an 8-inch infotainment display along with a semi-digital instrument cluster.

Apart from this, we are also getting a completely new steering wheel design, which ditches the Hyundai emblem in the middle, only to replace it with the four-dot symbol that the modern Hyundai cars come with. For those wondering, this is morse code for the letter H.
We are also getting sufficient buttons in the new Hyundai Venue. The new Venue’s centre console seems to have done away with the current models three-knob layout to replace it with two rows of buttons separated by an LED display which showcases climate control information. Even the gear lever looks new and much more premium with a brushed silver line going through the middle of the blue knob.

The rear seats also look different. Hyundai claims that the new Venue comes with improved ingress/ egress due to the wider opening doors and the longer wheelbase is touted to free up more legroom as compared to the previous model. Given that the new model is also wider, the rear seats are expected to fit in more people.
New-Gen Hyundai Venue vs Old: Features
Coming to the features, the Hyundai Venue already had pretty much all the bells and whistles one needs for daily. However, the new Hyundai Venue will take things a notch above. First, we will start with what all we are getting with the new and upcoming Hyundai Venue.
As you would expect from a modern Hyundai car, the Hyundai Venue is loaded with features to the brim. The main centre of attention among these will be the curved dual-screen setup with the two 12.3-inch displays – an infotainment and one digital instrument cluster for the driver.

We are also getting more creature comforts like ventilated seats, ambient lighting, electronically adjustable driver’s seat, and more. The new Hyundai Venue will also come equipped with level 2 ADAS, which enables features like adaptive cruise control, blind spot detection, safe exit warning, rear cross-traffic collision avoidance, and more.
New-Gen Hyundai Venue vs Old: Powertrain and Gearbox
The new generation Hyundai Venue is expected to come in multiple engine and gearbox options, same as the current-selling Hyundai Venue. The car will come with a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine, a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, and a 1.5-litre turbo diesel.
In terms of the gearbox, we can expect 5-speed and 6-speed manual gearboxes. In automatics, the Hyundai Venue will come with a 6-speed torque converter gearbox and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Furthermore, we can also expect the new Hyundai Venue to come with the brand’s IMT transmission, which is the cultch-less manual transmission.
