Ahead of its launch, the Korean automaker Kia revealed details of the fourth generation of Carnival, its luxury MPV, in India. The car is up for booking and will officially debut in the country in October 2024. Here’s a quick rundown of what’s new in the vehicle, including the powertrain specifications, exterior/interior features, booking amount, and the launch date.

Kia Carnival Engine Options, New Features

The new Kia Carnival will be available in two variants: Limousine and Limousine Plus. Both the models will ship with a 2.2-liter diesel engine, which produces 193 PS of power and 441 Nm of torque. The capable engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Further, the vehicle also offers different drive modes, including Econ, Normal, Sport, and Smart.
Among the key design elements are a bold Tiger Nose grille, projection headlamps, daytime running LEDs (in an almost connected design), front LED fog lamps, 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, and premium leatherette seats. However, the dual electric sunroof is one of the most unique features of the luxury MPV.
Other features include a hidden rear wiper and LED combination rear lamps. On the inside, the vehicle offers dual 12.3-inch screens (with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay), an eight-speaker sound system (12-speaker system on the Limousine Plus), an 11-inch head-up display (on the Limousine Plus), a wireless charger, and a second-row powered relaxation seats with ventilation and heating.

The MPV is also equipped with several safety features, including eight airbags, a rear cross-traffic collision avoidance system, and a 360-degree camera. Buyers will also get Level 2 ADAS with 23 autonomous features.
Kia Carnival Booking Amount And Release Date
Currently, Kia Carnival is available to book for Rs. 2 lakh. The luxury MPV will launch in India on October 3, 2024, after which interested buyers can get their hands on the vehicle for a test drive. Delivers should begin afterward. Considering all the specifications and features, the car could cost around Rs. 50 lakh in India (including all the import taxes).
