Over the past few weeks, industry rumor mills were gushing over the possibility of Nokia 7.1 launching in India but instead, HMD Global announced the Nokia 3.1 Plus (review) on October 11. Next on the company’s radar is China where it is hosting a launch event on October 16 where it is rumored to unveil the Nokia X7 which will debut globally as Nokia 7.1 Plus including India. The same Nokia X7 was spotted on Geekbench, revealing a few key specs.

What Geekbench reveals about Nokia X7 (Nokia 7.1 Plus)?

According to the benchmarking site Geekbench, the Nokia X7 will house a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC. If you recall, the Nokia 7 (review) was an early adopter of Snapdragon 660 chipset and it is only logical that its successor has an upgraded chipset. If the 7.1 Plus does turn up with SD700series rumored chipset, it will join the Vivo NEX and Xiaomi Mi 8 SE among phones with Snapdragon 710 chipset.

The Geekbech listing also reveals that the phone will have a 6GB memory variant. There’s a possibility that Nokia brings the X7 in two storage and memory configuration and most obvious guess will be 4GB RAM with 64GB storage, and 6GB RAM with 128GB of internal storage. The 7.1 Plus will debut with Android 8.1 Oreo.

Thanks to a recent official teaser,  we already know that the Nokia 7.1 Plus will boast Zeiss certified dual cameras on the rear. The rear camera will be stacked vertically in the same ways as we saw in the Nokia 7 Plus. If rumors are taken into account, it could feature 12MP+20MP sensors on the rear side and a 16MP selfie camera on the front.

That’s all we have for now and you’ll have to wait a few more days to get a complete picture of Nokia 7.1 Plus and detailed feature and specs-sheet.
