TL; DR

  • One UI 7.1 to come with AI Audio Eraser that removes specific noises (wind, voices, etc.) from videos with AI.
  • The feature is likely going to be be exclusive to the Galaxy S25 at launch, with a wider rollout later.

Samsung’s One UI 7.0 beta is already available for Galaxy S24 devices in select regions. The stable update is expected to roll out next month in January. However, amidst all this, we have some exciting news about One UI 7.1. Leaked screenshots reveal that One UI 7.1 is gearing up for a useful new feature called Audio Eraser.

The Audio Eraser feature will let you remove unwanted sounds from your videos using AI. Sounds like wind noise, background chatter, or even specific sounds like music and nature—you’ll be able to adjust their volume independently or erase them altogether.

However, it’s not something we haven’t seen before. Google Pixel devices already have a similar feature but limit it to 2-minute videos. Apple’s iPhone 16 series also has a similar feature that allows longer video edits. Hopefully, Samsung will avoid time restrictions for this tool.

From leaked screenshots, we see that the tool uses sliders for sounds like wind, voices, music, and nature, giving you full control to either lower or completely remove distracting noises.

This feature isn’t part of the current One UI 7.0 beta, so it might arrive exclusively with One UI 7.1. Rumors suggest it could debut on the Galaxy S25 series, then expand to other devices like the S24 series.
