Oppo is indeed entering the EV space in India, reveals some industry sources. The company is said to make its electric vehicle debut in 2023 or 2024. But ahead of that, we expect plenty of leaks and rumors to hit our radar. The latest bit claims the Chinese brand is eyeing to bring the cheapest electric two-wheeler as well as a Nano-esque electric four-wheeler.

Leakster Yogesh Brar explains that Oppo is working on the EV project which is currently at an early stage. The source also tells that the timeline of the official debut could extend further if the plans don’t pan out well.

Nevertheless, the exciting news is that Oppo is believed to price its electric two-wheeler as low as INR 60,000. At such a price, it should be able to aggressively compete with the market leaders like Ola, Ather, Bajaj, and even Darwin which has recently unveiled its electric scooters from INR 68,000 onwards.
