The OPPO Find X9 Pro has just launched in China, with a global launch set for October 28 and an India debut on November 18. I’ve been using it for a short while now, and even in this brief time, it’s clear that this phone is something special. Let’s take a look at what it’s like to actually use, hold, and look at this flagship. We’ll also go through the specs.

OPPO Find X9 Pro Design and Build

OPPO Find X9 Pro

Right from the unboxing, the Find X9 Pro feels premium. I’m using the Titanium color variant, and it’s easily one of the best-looking phones OPPO has made so far. It reminds me of the OPPO Find X5 design, which also looked absolutely stunning.

The finish is clean and sophisticated, and the new design language is lovely. The build is aluminum and glass, and at 8.25 mm thick and 224 grams, it feels solid but still comfortable to hold. It’s also as tough as it gets, with IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.

The bezels are jaw-droppingly thin, just 1.15 mm, making this the slimmest bezel I’ve seen on any smartphone, even thinner than the iPhone 17 Pro Max (which is 1.36 mm). And yes, the bezels are even on all sides. The front looks almost bezel-less.

The ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor is a noticeable upgrade from the X8 Pro. It’s faster, more accurate, and positioned better this time, which makes unlocking the phone feel more natural and effortless.

OPPO Find X9 Pro Display

OPPO Find X9 Pro

The Find X9 Pro packs a 6.78-inch flat LTPO Tianma OLED panel with a 1.5K resolution and a 120 Hz adaptive refresh rate. The display looks stunning, and it’s incredibly bright. It reaches 1800 Nits in HBM and an insane 3600 Nits peak. There’s also HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support, and OPPO’s P3 display chip ensures rich, accurate colors.

Eye comfort is also done well with 3840 Hz PWM dimming, and it can drop to just 1 Nit minimum brightness for late-night use. OPPO is also using its new Crystal Shield Glass for better durability.

OPPO Find X9 Pro Software

The software experience is one of the most impressive parts so far. The phone runs ColorOS 16 based on Android 16, and everything feels extremely smooth and fluid. ColorOS 16 is the smoothest software I’ve experienced. And the customization options are almost endless. I absolutely adore the look of ColorOS 16.

OPPO Find X9 Pro Performance & Battery

OPPO Find X9 Pro

Powering the Find X9 Pro is the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. It packs a massive 7,500 mAh battery, with 80W SUPERVOOC, 55W PPS, and 50W wireless charging.

As for connectivity, it features 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, USB Type-C 3.2, and OPPO’s R100 Shanhai Communication Enhancement Chip improving overall network performance. There’s even satellite communication support on the 16 GB + 1 TB model, though that might stay China-exclusive.

OPPO Find X9 Pro Cameras

While I’ll save the full deep dive into the cameras for later, here’s a quick overview. On the back, you get a 50 MP Sony LYT-828 main camera (23 mm, f/1.6), a 50 MP ultra-wide with a 15 mm field of view (f/2.0), and a massive 200 MP periscope telephoto lens (70 mm, f/2.1). There’s also a 2 MP Danxia multispectral lens. The front camera is a 50 MP JN5 sensor with autofocus (21 mm, f/2.0).

OPPO is continuing its Hasselblad collaboration, adding features to the Hasselblad Master Mode, XPAN mode, a new Hasselblad Ultra-Clear Mode. OPPO has also co-developed a 3.28X (10X, 230 mm) teleconverter with Hasselblad.

First Verdict

OPPO Find X9 Pro

The OPPO Find X9 Pro has already impressed me with its design, display, and overall feel. It’s one of the most premium-looking phones I’ve used, the display is easily among the best in any flagship right now, and the experience with ColorOS 16 is smooth and fast.

The cameras already seem promising, but I’ll share more detailed thoughts on that after October 28. Until then, I can confidently say that the Find X9 Pro is shaping up to be one of the most exciting flagships of 2025.
