There’s a lot of buzz around the upcoming Oppo Reno8 series that is slated to arrive in China in May 2022. Well, to put things into motion, Mukul Sharma – a reputed tipster, has come up with a leak that the device will make it to the Indian shore something by the end of June 2022 which further solidifies the previous timeline for its Chinese release.

Oppo Reno8 Pricing and Availability

As per the leaked timeline, the Oppo Reno8 series will make it to the Indian shores by the end of June 2022. Since the device will arrive in China first before making its splash in India, it seems like May 2022 for its Chinese release seems appropriate. Although the Chinese smartphone maker hasn’t yet confirmed the timeline, Mukul has a reputation for being accurate most of the time. Given his previous records and Oppo’s launch timelines for the Reno series, it seems that the series will arrive first in China in May followed by India in June 2022.

The pricing and availability for the series are still a mystery. However, the Oppo Reno8 will likely be the first smartphone to don the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 in the world so that will be an interesting sight to behold.

Oppo Reno8 Expected Specifications

According to the leaked Oppo Reno8 specifications, as purported by tipster Mukul Sharma, the device will arrive with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC under the hood. There’s LPDDR5 RAM along with UFS 3.1 storage system on-board. The display mounted on Oppo Reno8 is a 6.55-inch OLED 2400×1080 pixels panel with a 120Hz high refresh rate.

There’s a triple rear camera onboard headed by a 50MP Sony IMX766 paired alongside an 8MP ultrawide snapper and a 2MP depth/macro sensor. The front cam is likely a 32MP snapper. Finally, there will be an Android 12-powered ColorOS 12 out-of-the-box on the device.

The battery pack under the hood is 4,500mAh which should keep the device afloat for quite a long time. It has an 80W fast charging tech for blazing-fast charging cycles.
