Poco C50 enters the Indian market with MediaTek Helio A22 SoC

Poco has launched yet another rebranded smartphone in the Indian market named Poco C50. The device is the revamped version of Redmi A1+. The smartphone comes with features like an HD+ display, dual rear camera system, juiced-up battery, and a fingerprint scanner. The handset is available at a price under Rs 10,000 in the Indian market and serves as the successor of the Poco C40 that was launched in the global market last year.

As for the pricing, the Poco C50’s 2GB RAM variant with 32GB internal storage is available in the market at a price of Rs 6,499. On the other hand, the 3GB RAM variant of the device with 32GB internal storage can be purchased for Rs 7,299. The smartphone is being shipped in two different colors – Royal Blue and Country Green. The first sale of the handset is scheduled to be held on January 10 via Flipkart. It will be available on both Debit card and Credit card EMI options.

Poco C50 specifications

The Poco C50 includes a 6.52-inch water-drop notch display at the front with HD+ resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, and 120Hz touch sampling rate. The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Helio A22 processor coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. It also has a microSD card slot for storage expansion of up to 512GB. The device operates on the Android 12 Go Edition.

In terms of optics, the Poco C50 gets a dual rear camera setup consisting of an 8MP primary shooter and an auxiliary sensor. In addition, it flaunts a 5MP front snapper for the sake of selfies and video calls. The device draws power from a 5000mAh battery along with 10W charging support. Connectivity options offered in the handset are 4G, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, WiFi, a 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C port.
