Prabhas is heading back to the battlefield. The pan-India superstar is starring in a new, untitled period war drama from director Hanu Raghavapudi, and a teaser poster released on Diwali has the internet buzzing. The film, which has a working title of Fauji, is set to unveil its official name and first look later today.

The poster is all mood: a silhouette of Prabhas as a soldier, surrounded by weapons, under the tagline “A battalion that stands alone.” It’s a gritty, historical turn for an actor best known recently for larger-than-life sci-fi and fantasy roles.

Here’s what we know so far:

The Story

It’s a war drama set in pre-Independence India. Prabhas plays a soldier leading a unique battalion.

The Budget

A massive ₹400 crore, which means you can expect grand-scale action and visuals.

The Team

Hanu Raghavapudi, known for his compelling storytelling, is directing. Mythri Movie Makers is producing. The cast is also said to include veteran actors Anupam Kher and Jaya Prada, along with newcomer Imanvi.

This project is still in its early days, with a rumored release window of August 2026. It joins a busy slate for Prabhas, who is also juggling The Raja Saab, Spirit, and planned sequels to both Salaar and Kalki 2898 AD.

Where will Fauji stream online?

The creators have not revealed any details about the streaming partner yet, so you’ll need to wait a bit longer for that information. The Prabhas-starring movie “Fauji” is expected to be available on streaming services approximately six weeks after its theatrical release.

For now, all eyes are on the October 22 reveal, which promises to give us our first real look at what could be the next major milestone in Prabhas’s career.
