Realme 8 5G is here in India; Know all about its specs and price

Realme 8 5G has been launched in India on April 22. The phone joins the Realme 8 lineup and is the cheapest 5G phone in the country. Other highlighting specs of Realme 8 5G include Dimensity 700 SoC, 90Hz FHD+ screen, 48MP triple cameras, and 5000mAh battery. 

Realme has earlier launched the Realme 8 (review) and Realme 8 Pro (review) on March 24. Since then the arrival of the 5G version was doing rounds. Now that, Realme 8 5G is official, we can discuss it in detail. 

Realme 8 5G Price & Availability

Realme 8 5G is priced at Rs. 14,999 for the 4+128GB variant and Rs. 16,999 for the higher variant of 8+128GB. The mobile phones will be available in color options of Supersonic Black and Supersonic Blue. Realme 8 5G will be retailing through Realme.com, Flipkart, and leading stores from April 28.

Realme 8 5G Features

The Realme 8 5G gets a 6.5-inch FHD+ punch-hole display that has a refresh rate of 90Hz. This was something missing in the previous Realme 8 versions. The remaining panel features are 600 nits brightness and a 90.5% screen-to-body ratio. The device is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor for 5G support and is paired with an ARM Mali-G57 GPU, up to 8GB RAM, and 128GB built-in storage expandable up to 1TB.

Realme 8 5G flaunts a triple camera system on the back. It includes a 48MP primary camera, a 4cm macro lens, and a B&W portrait lens. The punch-hole on the left corner houses a 16MP shooter for selfies and video calls.

The 5G model from Realme 8 draws power from a 5000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. The device runs on Realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11. Realme 8 5G has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The connectivity options tagged with the phone are 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C port, triple card slot, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
