Xiaomi has begun teasing the Redmi 15 5G for the Indian market, with the official Amazon listing now live. The teaser highlights the phone’s massive battery with the tagline: “One Charge. Two Days. Zero Worries,” pointing to battery life as the main focus of the device. Though Xiaomi hasn’t confirmed a launch date yet, leaks have already revealed the full specifications and design. The device closely resembles the Reno12 series with a triple rear camera design and glossy finish.
Redmi 15 5G: Leaked Specifications and Details

According to leaked promotional materials shared in Malaysia, the Redmi 15 5G will feature a large 6.9-inch FHD+ LCD display with a 144Hz refresh rate, a step up from previous models in the Redmi number series, which often stuck to lower resolutions and refresh rates. We can also see that the device has a punch hole, not a water drop notch.

Under the hood, the device will run on the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset, which appears to be a rebranded version of the Snapdragon 695 (a four year old chipset), based on a 6nm process. While this marks an upgrade over typical Redmi 4-series processors, it’s not a new architecture. The leak suggests this SoC will be paired with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, with virtual RAM expansion included.
Battery capacity is a major talking point, with the phone packing a 7,000 mAh unit, supported by 33W fast charging. While the charge speed is modest, the sheer capacity should translate to extended usage between charges, as per Xiaomi’s promotional material.
Camera hardware includes a 50MP main sensor and a 2MP secondary lens on the back, with an 8MP front-facing camera. Other features include IP64 dust and splash resistance, AI features, Google Gemini integration, Wet Touch 2.0, and NFC support, the latter might not make it to India, though.

Expected Price in India
While the official Indian price hasn’t been revealed, the Malaysian listing puts the Redmi 15 5G at RM 699–RM 750, which roughly translates to ₹13,000–₹15,000.
My Take
At this price point, the use of a repackaged Snapdragon 695 could be seen as underwhelming, especially with competing brands offering newer chips in the same range. What do you think? Let us know in the comments.
