Top Samsung execs are expressing confidence in the upcoming Exynos 2400 SoC, further proving that we will get to see more of these chipsets. Turns out, the Samsung Galaxy S24 series is expected to bring onboard two-way satellite connectivity as well.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Series To Get Satellite Connectivity

Park Yong-in – CEO of Samsung’s System LSI confirmed that the South Korean giant will support satellite connectivity starting next year. It could be a reference to the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S24 series slated to arrive early next year.

Apple rolled out satellite connectivity last year with iPhone 14 series and the feature has since been at various stages of adoption by other OEMs. Samsung too showcased its two-way satellite connectivity feature for emergency services and seems like the Galaxy S24 series will be the first to take next year.

There aren’t many details available about the feature either. It works two-way enabling the users to communicate with first responders possibly via text (it could have calling capabilities too) in a two-way fashion.

It remains to be seen whether the satellite connectivity feature is available for the entire Galaxy S24 series. It is because there’s an ongoing concoction of chipsets to be used on the trio – S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra. Turns out Galaxy S24 Ultra will be the only model to get Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC across all markets whereas vanilla S24 and S24+ will either have Exynos 2400 SoC or Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC depending upon where you are buying it.

Samsung is confident about the Exynos 2400 SoC, especially after the Exynos 2200 failed to perform as a flagship chipset. In fact, Exynos 2500 SoC arriving later next year is expected to outperform TSMC’s 3nm process. It will probably power the Galaxy S25 series although that remains to be seen as well.
