The forthcoming week is set to witness a significant event in the technology sector, as Samsung prepares to hold its inaugural Unpacked event of 2025. The Samsung Galaxy S25 Series will take center stage during this event, and prior to the global unveiling, several new Galaxy AI functionalities have emerged online. Multiple reports have suggested potential new AI features that the smartphones may incorporate. Notably, Gemini will be more deeply integrated into Galaxy AI this time, along with the introduction of new AI capabilities for calls and camera functions.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Series New AI Features

A Portuguese site, Technoblog, reports that the Galaxy S25 Series is set to introduce new AI functionalities, including ‘Now Brief’ and support for the wake word ‘Hey Gemini.’ The ‘Now Brief’ feature will provide users with pertinent information that changes throughout the day. It will include a ‘Good Morning’ screen displaying the weather forecast and a daily energy score. Additionally, the ‘For Your Route’ screen will encourage users to access Maps and listen to music. Another feature, the ‘Summary of the Night’ screen, will highlight significant moments and physical activity objectives.

The report indicates that the Galaxy S25 Series will feature enhanced integration of the Gemini AI assistant, activated by the prompt ‘Hey Gemini.’ Additionally, another source suggests that Gemini will be incorporated into Samsung Calendar, Samsung Notes, and Samsung Reminders applications. This integration will allow users to create, modify, or remove events. Furthermore, users can extract information from images to generate events within the Samsung Calendar app. Gemini will also facilitate the creation and summarization of notes, as well as the retrieval of notes based on their titles and descriptions in the Notes app.

The reminder application will allow users to set reminders for specific dates and times, modify the name, date, and time of existing reminders, and search for reminders based on their name, date, or time.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Series will enhance the Circle to Search functionality, enabling users to locate tagged individuals within videos in the Samsung Studio editing application. This AI-driven feature will also facilitate the extraction of high-quality still images from videos captured on your device.

The AI Select feature enables users to extract segments from videos and create GIFs, while the Call Assist function provides real-time audio translation in 20 different languages. Additionally, several other Galaxy AI features are expected to launch with the Galaxy S25 Series, including Homework AI, Music Search, enhanced Routines, YouTube Notes, Gemini Integration for the Now Bar, and more.
