Samsung to host a virtual Galaxy Unpacked event on August 5

Samsung is likely to announce Galaxy Note 20 series, Galaxy Fold 2, Galaxy Tab 7, Galaxy Watch 3 and Galaxy Buds Live at unpacked 2020.

Samsung has announced that it will be holding its Galaxy Unpacked event on August 5 at 7:30 IST. For the first time, Samsung will be launching its flagship at a virtual Unpacked event. The teaser shared by Samsung doesn’t reveal much about the event. The cover image of the teaser video has a copper color water drop splash that matches with the recently leaked Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra images.

For anyone who’s asking, Samsung’s Unpacked events are grand galas where the South-Korean giant unleashes its flagships. Usually, Samsung holds two unpacked events each year. At the start of the year, it launches the Galaxy S series while usually in the second unpacked event is headlined by Note series.

At the event, one can expect Samsung to reveal the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Z Fold 2 to headline the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event. Samsung is also expected to take the wraps off from the Galaxy Z Flip 5G, Galaxy Tab S7, Galaxy Watch 3 and Galaxy Buds Live from the same stage. Recently the Galaxy Z Flip 5G and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra renders in “Mystic Bronze” color also surfaced online. The galaxy Watch 3 renders are all over the internet giving us an idea about what to expect.

Samsung is likely to announce the Galaxy Note 20 with an FHD+ SuperAMOLED screen that refreshes at 90Hz, Qualcomm Snapdragon 865/Exynos 990, 24W fast charging, a 4,000 mAh battery, and a camera setup similar to the Galaxy S20. The Galaxy Note 20 Ultra is to include a bigger WQHD+ resolution Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 4,500 mAh battery, 45W fast charging, Qualcomm Snapdragon 865/Exynos 990 silicon, and an improved 108MP main sensor with laser autofocus. The Z Flip 5G could be announced with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 and 5G support.
