TL; DR
- The mid-cycle update brings the Punch EV’s exterior in line with Tata’s newly-launched ICE cars, with a major focus on a cleaner aesthetic and upgraded technology.
- The front fascia gets a closed-off grille at the bottom, along with a new scuff plate.
- The separation between the DRLs and the headlight stands out even more.
A little over two years after its launch, the Tata Punch EV is getting a facelift. Ahead of the official unveiling on February 20, 2026, the Indian automaker has revealed the revised front fascia of the electric micro SUV, and there are quite a few changes to discuss.

However, the separation between the DRLs and the headlight stands out even more. The DRLs are there, but the connecting light bar on the current-generation EV seems to be gone (whether it is for good or not is something for the customers to decide).
Moreover, Punch EV’s front fascia looks cleaner, sleeker, and more modern than the outgoing generation. A glance at the side profile hints at a new version of the aero-optimized 16-inch alloy wheels (heavily inspired by the Nexon EV). Furthermore, there’s a new “Sunlit Yellow” color first seen with the Harrier.
While these are the only changes confirmed by the official banner uploaded by Tata Motors, there are plenty of rumors on the internet about what to expect from the 2026 Punch EV facelift.

What Tata Hasn’t Confirmed
For instance, the car could get a connected LED taillamp setup on the back, like the new 2026 Punch ICE. On the inside, the vehicle could get a 12.3-inch floating infotainment system (with better, more responsive software), similar to the one we’ve seen on the Nexon EV.
Other cabin features could include a 10.25-inch instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, 360-degree cameras, connected-car tech, ambient lighting, and an auto-dimming IRVM. The powertrain options should remain similar: 25 kWh (82hp/114Nm) and 35 kWh (122hp/190Nm), with claimed ranges of 265 and 365 kilometers, respectively.
Inclusion Of Level 2 ADAS On The Higher Trims Could Increase The Price
However, the car could gain another headline feature: Level 2 ADAS, which is still missing on the 2026 Tata Punch ICE. The driving automation and assistance features could include adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, emergency braking and collision avoidance, and blind-spot monitoring (since the car already has a 360-degree camera).
Given that the car currently commands a psychologically important price point (just under Rs. 10 lakhs), there’s a good chance the base trim will remain similarly priced, while the higher trims with ADAS and other additions could command a premium over the outgoing model.
