Realme is gearing up to update its number series by the end of this month. Previously, we’ve reported about two smartphones in the Realme 12 series, including the Realme 12 Pro and the Realme 12 Pro+. However, per new information, a third “Pro Max” variant could be joining the lineup.

Leaked Promotional Image Mentions “Realme 12 Pro Max 5G”

Indian tipster Yogesh Brar has leaked a promotional image that contains “Realme 12 Pro Max 5G” cards with the price and key specifications. The image suggests that the variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage should be priced at Rs. 33,999, while the higher variant with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage should cost Rs. 35,999.

The Phone Could Arrive With The Sony IMX890 Sensor

Further, the cards also contain some key specifications of the purported smartphone. The Realme 12 Pro Max 5G could come with a 50MP Sony IMX890 primary camera and a 64MP periscope portrait camera. Both cameras should support optical image stabilization.

Out of the box, the handset will run on Realme UI 5.0 (based on Android 14) and have a 120Hz curved display. The phone should also be available in a Rolex-inspired luxury watch design. However, that is the extent of information available from the leaked image. The leaked moniker also suggests this will be the top-end variant in the Realme 12 series.

Realme 12 Pro+ Visits Geekbench

Meanwhile, the Realme 12 Pro+ has been spotted on the Geekbench benchmark platform by MySmartPrice. The handset carried the model number “RMX3840.” It scores 1,025 points in the single-core and 2,915 points in the multi-core performance test. The listing also reveals that the phone runs on an octa-core processor with four cores at 1.96 GHz and the other four at 2.40 GHz.

The model that surfaced on the benchmark ran on Android 14 and had 12GB of RAM. Since the motherboard field mentions “Parrot,” there’s a good chance that the phone features Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC, a mid-ranger.

Realme 12 Pro+ Geekbench scores

Realme 12 Pro+ Expected Specifications

Besides the Geekbench score, we already have a fair idea of the Realme 12 Pro+ specifications. For instance, the smartphone should come with a 6.7-inch FHD+ OLED screen, ship with up to 512GB of internal storage, and feature a triple-camera setup. Regarding battery, both the Realme 12 Pro and the Realme 12 Pro+ should feature a 5,000 mAh battery.

More details about the smartphones should come out at the January 29, 2024 launch.
