vivo Announces OriginOS 6 Rollout Timeline: Over 30 Devices to Get Android 16-Based Update by Mid-2026

After unveiling OriginOS 6 globally, vivo has revealed the official release timeline for various devices compatible with the operating system. While the recently launched vivo X300 series runs on OriginOS 6, based on Android 16, the new user interface will be made available to older vivo phones over the next few months.

OriginOS 6 Release Timeline

  • In early November, the new operating system will make its way to five devices: X200 Pro (review), X200 (review), X200 FE (review), X Fold 5, and V60.
  • By mid-November, OriginOS 6 will be available for three additional devices, including the X100 Pro, X100, and X Fold 3 Pro.
  • By the middle of December 2025, users of the V60e, V50, V50e, T4 Ultra, T4 Pro, and the T4R 5G will also be able to download and install it.

These aren’t the only devices that will get OriginOS 6, as the update will be available on a list of older devices through the first half of 2026.

These include a total of 23 devices, including the X90 Pro (review), X90, V40 Pro, V40, V40e, V30 Pro, V30, V30e, T4 5G, T4x 5G, T3 Ultra, T3 Pro 5G, T3 5G, Y400 Pro 5G, Y400 5G, Y300 5G, Y200 Pro 5G, Y200 5G, Y200e 5G, Y100, Y100A, Y58 5G, and Y39 5G.

OriginOS 6 Key Features

Among the key features of OriginOS 6 are a Liquid Glass-inspired design language, a larger lock screen clock, a customizable quick settings tile, a new categories tab for automatic app organization, Flux Themes 2.0, Live Alerts & Updates, enhanced fluidity, and improved cross-device connectivity.
