Vivo’s upcoming sub-brand iQOO has been in the news recently and fresh information about its upcoming smartphone has emerged on the web. It is said to be the first gaming phone from the brand. However, the tech world also had rumors of this being a foldable phone.

More recently IQOO phone was spotted during the live television broadcast. On the NBA broadcast, Chinese television network, a model is seen holding the IQOO smartphone in her hands. We could see the device sporting a triple camera set up at the back. From the image down below, the phone doesn’t seem a folding one. If this wasn’t enough, the company has gone a step ahead with the teaser on Weibo.

Affirming speculations lurking in the rumor mill, this would be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 octa-core processor. This would be coupled with equally impressive 12GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. So, iQOO enters the 12GB RAM club with another Chinese entrant, i.e. Lenovo Z5 Pro GT. Even the upcoming Plus variant of Samsung Galaxy S10.

This raw and powerful device is likely to be fueled by a mammoth 4000mAH battery. Once discharged, you might be able to charge it with a state-of-the-art 44W FlashCharge brick. Vivo also offers USB-C port with this device.

The Chinese giant also bets on a sixth-gen in-display fingerprint sensor. This novel tech might cover a larger part of the bottom display while offering accelerated authentication and reliable security.

Unlock it and we might be welcomed by Android Pie as its successor is still underway. The image also hints at Super-HDR support for better video experience. Contrary to most Chinese companies, iQOO would come with NFC support. Alas, we couldn’t decide where is iQOO is going with the 4D terminology.

It would be amazing if Vivo goes the POCO way to bring a high-end device at an unbelievable price tag. Existing rumors suggest the iQOO phone could be worth over 5,000 Yuan (~$738). Till any official confirmation, let’s hold our fingers crossed.
