The Chinese smartphone companies love creating sub-brands as it seems. After Realme by Oppo and Poco by Xiaomi, get ready to embrace iQOO a sub-brand by Vivo. Its announcement was offically made on Chinese microblogging site Weibo.

The iQOO’s official account started off with an initial post that read; ‘Hello, this is IQOO’ with no other specifics. iQOO’s official Weibo account was created only a few hours ago, and it has already garnered over 15,000 followers.

The above poster shared by iQOO hints at futuristic and cutting-edge devices. The company’s domain registration details are available online, which affirms Vivo Mobile Communications Co. Ltd. as the parent company. It is also worth pointing out that the official Weibo handle of Vivo has been actively replying comments in the same thread.

iQOO – Vivo’s response to Realme?

Vivo is yet to clear the air on its vision for iQOO. It could function as a sub-brand or act as a separate entity like Realme, Redmi and Poco brands as per the speculations. Speaking of speculations, some even suggest iQOO will be a premium sub-brand that will offer innovative cutting edge tech.
