Yesterday, we talked about vivo confirming the arrival of the second smartphone in the V50 family in India, and today the brand has announced the debut date of the vivo V50e smartphone in the country. Vivo V50e 5G is arriving in India on 10th April. It will succeed the vivo V40e 5G that came out in 2024 and will be an expert in photography along with featuring an aesthetic and premium design.

vivo V50e: Launch Details

vivo V50e will launch on 10th April at 12 Noon and the launch event will stream on vivo India’s official YouTube channel. The smartphone will retail via Flipkart, vivo.in and offline channels, and the sale date will be announced at the end of the launch event. Vivo India took to its official X account to announce the launch date, and the Flipkart microsite that has gone live confirms the design and features of the smartphone.

vivo V50e 5G: Features & Design

The vivo V50e will come with luxurious gemstone-inspired colors- Sapphire Blue & Pearl White, along with an ultra-slim quad curved display, Sony Multifocal Pro Portrait camera for stunning portraits, and AI-powered features. It will have a thickness of 0.73cm and a polished glass back with a metal frame elevating the design aesthetic. The dual-ring camera module with Aura Light claims to give a harmonious balance along with giving a touch of sophistication. It will be IP68 and IP69 rated for protection against water, dust, and high-pressure sprays. The display will be protected by Diamond Shield Glass and the device also has SGS five-star overall drop resistance certification.

The microsite claims that vivo V50e will sport a quad-curved AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate for stunning visuals and vibrant colors. It will get an OIS-enabled Sony IMX882 camera at the back along with an ultra-wide angle lens and an Aura LED flash. The device will get a Sony Multifocal Pro Portrait mode to allow you to shoot portraits at three focal lengths-26mm, 39mm and 52mm.

At the front will be a 50MP sensor with eye autofocus to give crystal clear group selfies with wide dynamic range and balanced exposure. The front and rear cameras will support 4K video recording. Vivo V50e will also get India’s Exclusive Wedding Portrait Studio which is a combination of Wedding-Style Portrait and Film Camera Mode to make photos more memorable.

The microsite has also confirmed smart AI features like AI Image Expander, AI Note Assist, Circle to Search, and AI Transcript Assist. The V50e is also expected to support underwater photography mode.

Speculations are rife that vivo V50e will be powered by the Dimensity 7300 chipset and pack a 5600mAh battery with 90W wired charging. It is expected to cost between Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 30,000. The predecessor vivo V40e was priced at Rs. 28,999.
