Vivo has officially announced that the X100 flagship series, consisting of the X100 and X100 Pro models, will debut by the end of the year. Although a specific launch date remains undisclosed, recent leaks have provided insight into the expected launch schedule, charging specifications, and IP ratings for the Vivo X100 Pro and the premium X100 Pro+ variant.

Vivo X100 Pro and X100 Pro Leak

According to information from the tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS), both the Vivo X100 Pro and X100 Pro+ are anticipated to feature 50W wireless charging capabilities, while the standard Vivo X100 will not support this feature. It’s worth noting that the Vivo X90 series was previously introduced in India with support for 50W wireless charging as well.

As per the tipster, both the Vivo X100 Pro and X100 Pro+ are expected to boast an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.

In contrast, the Vivo X90 was previously introduced with an IP64 rating, signifying robust protection against dust but limited resistance to water splashes. On the other hand, the X90 Pro and X90 Pro+ models were launched with an IP68 rating, indicating their ability to endure immersion in fresh water up to a depth of 1.5 meters for approximately 30 minutes, as well as reliable protection against dust.

The leaked information suggests that the Vivo X100 series is expected to feature dual stereo speakers, Infrared functionality, an X-axis linear motor for enhanced haptic feedback, and an IR blaster for remote control capabilities.

According to both the tipster and a recent report, the Vivo X100 series is scheduled for an official launch in November. This launch will include the Vivo X100 and X100 Pro models. However, the release of the Vivo X100 Pro+ is expected to follow in early 2024.

Furthermore, the tipster has hinted that the unveiling of the Vivo X100 series will coincide with the introduction of the Vivo X Fold 3. This dual launch is anticipated to take place after the company announces its new OriginOS 4.0 operating system.
