Vivo’s X100 is one of the most anticipated Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-powered smartphone series that could launch soon. Recently, there have been many rumors and leaks about the phones. The Vivo X90 series had three models, including the vanilla X90, X90 Pro, and X90 Pro+, and this year, we’re expecting the Vivo X100 to come out with similar variants. Most recently, a Chinese tipster has leaked the design of the upcoming Android phone.

Per drawouts of the Vivo X100 series shared on the Chinese microblogging platform Weibo, the smartphones could have a large circular camera cutout on the rear panel, which includes four camera sensors, all of which appear to be circular. However, there’s a good chance that at least one of these sensors could be a periscope lens (with a rectangular shape) on the upper trims of the series, like the Vivo X100 Pro+. Besides, the phone has a flash module at the top right corner. On the front, we see nothing but the standard punch-hole.

The Vivo X90 series had a much smaller camera cutout, covering over half of the phone’s width. Further, it had a horizontal design element that separated the camera cutout from the rest of the back panel, which had nothing but the company’s branding. If the drawing is accurate, the Vivo X100 will ship with one of the largest camera modules on a smartphone.

Per Digital Chat Station, the Vivo X100 will come with a Sony IMX920 primary sensor, a Samsung JN1 ultrawide sensor, and an OmniVision OV64B telephoto sensor, which can provide up to three times optical zoom. The Vivo X100 Pro, on the other hand, may sport the same ultrawide and telephoto sensor but offer a one-inch Sony IMX989 primary sensor.

The Vivo X100 Pro+ is said to come with a 6.78-inch 2K OLED screen that supports up to 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the smartphone runs on Qualcomm’s fastest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, based on TSMC’s second-generation 4nm fabrication technology. The phone should also support LPDDR5T RAM and USF 4.0 storage. Out of the box, Vivo should offer a custom skin atop Android 14.

The main highlight of the phone, however, remains to be its quad-rear camera setup, which includes a 50MP Sony IMX989 OIS sensor for clicking regular images, a 50MP Sony IMX598 sensor for ultrawide shots, and another 50MP Sony IMX758 shooter for capturing portraits. Further, the phone could also feature a 200MP Samsung HP3 periscope lens for up to 10x optical zoom.

Other features of the Vivo X100 Pro+ include a 5,400 mAh battery that supports 100W wired and 50W wireless charging, an IP68 water and dust resistance rating, and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner. Given the frequency of leaks, there’s a good chance the company could release this smartphone soon, at least in its native market.
