One of Netflix’s most-watched series, ‘Wednesday,’ is all set to return with season 2 in two weeks. The first season was a hit among the audience, capturing their attention with its gothic setting, dark humor, and intriguing storyline. Now Wednesday Addams will be back with a new mystery, new threats to tackle, and a lot more drama to unfold. Netflix even shared a new still of Jenna Ortega on their Instagram account today, captioning it “Only two more budhwars until Wednesday Season 2 arrives on Netflix.

Wednesday Season 2: OTT Streaming Date & Platform

Similar to season one, Wednesday Season 2 will also stream on Netflix India. The OTT giant announced that the season 2 will hit the streamer in two parts, first part on 6th August and second part on 3rd September. Both parts will be released on a Wednesday.

Wednesday Season 2: Trailer

Full-length trailer for Wednesday Season 2 was released by Netflix on 9th July, giving a sneak peek into the world of Wednesday Addams in the second season. Also, the first six minutes of season 2’s premiere episode ‘Here We Woe Again” were also shown at Netflix Tudum 2025.

Wednesday Season 2: Cast & Crew

The actors returning to season 2 include Jenna Ortega, Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Moosa Mustafa, Georgie Farmer, Hunter Doohan, Catherine Zeta Jones, Luis Guzman, and Issac Ordonez. The new additions to the cast are Steve Buscemi, Billie Piper, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, and Noah B. Taylor.

Guest appearances are expected from Christopher Lloyd, Joanna Lumley, Thandiwe Newton, Frances O’ Connor, Haley Joel Osment, Heather Matarazzo, Joonas Suotamo, Lady Gaga, and others. Percy Hynes White won’t be returning to the show, while Jamie McShane will be seen in limited episodes.

Showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Miller will be running the second season as well, while Tim Burton is back as executive producer.

Wednesday Season 2: Expected Plot

In season 2, Wednesday returns to Nevermore Academy, but things take an awry turn quickly. Though she feels she has understood the school and its secrets, she soon realizes nothing is as it appears. A new mystery is waiting to be solved, and stakes are higher than ever. The upcoming season is expected to explore darker themes and new threats.

Wednesday Season 1: Recap

The first season followed Wednesday Addams as she got enrolled at the Nevermore Academy, where she discovered her emerging psychic powers and investigated a series of murders linked to a monstrous creature known as Hyde. As Wednesday uncovers a conspiracy involving her family and the vengeful descendant of Joseph Crackstone, she exposes her botany teacher, Laurel Gates, as the main villain manipulating the events. Teaming up with her friends, she defeated Laurel and resurrected Crackstone, saving the school. The season ended with a mysterious warning that someone is still keeping a watch on her and her friends.
