Xiaomi 12 Mini specs and prices go bare in a new leak; Launch expected soon

Xiaomi 12 lineup is expected tipped to debut in China at the tail end of 2021. In tradition, the incumbent models in the series were likely to be the standard Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Pro, and Xiaomi 12 Ultra. However, now, the Mi 12 family is tipped to witness a new entrant with the name Xiaomi 12 Mini.

The leak revealing the existence of Xiaomi 12 Mini appeared on Twitter through a user account named Mayank Kumar. He shared the render, prices, and detailed specifications of the device. The tipster also has a launch date for the Xiaomi 12 series which is December 21. Now, let’s sink into details.

Xiaomi 12 Mini Specs (expected)

The Xiaomi 12 Mini leak claims a compact design with a 6.28-inch FHD+ flat AMOLED E5 panel and 7.96mm thickness. The display is said to support 120Hz refresh rate, 480Hz touch sampling rate, 1500nits peak brightness, Dolby Vision, and HDR10+ standard.

The leaked spec sheet discloses Snapdragon 870 chipset as the underlying processor. The memory combinations could be 8GB/12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB/256GB UFS3.1 storage.

At the back, it could have a quad-rear camera comprising a 100MP main camera with OIS support, a 20MP ultrawide sensor, a 5X optical zoom lens, and a 2x portrait sensor. The render exposes a punch-hole front camera. 

The leak divulges a 4700mAh battery with support for 67W fast wired charging and 50W wireless charging. Connectivity options are revealed to be 5G, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.2. The device appears to be rated with IP68 ingress protection.

Xiaomi 12 Mini Prices (leaked)

The Xiaomi 12 Mini may arrive in three storage models. The lowest variant with 8GB + 128GB is leaked to be priced at 3599 Yuan (≈Rs 42,050), while the 8+256GB could retail at 3899 Yuan (≈Rs 45,560), and the top 12+256GB variant at 4299 Yuan (≈Rs 50,200).

The Xiaomi 12 series might debut in India post the official introduction in China. Though the leak comes at a very early stage and it should be better consumed with a pinch of salt.
