Xiaomi confirms launching MIUI 14 in India on February 27: Check out new features & expected eligible devices here

Xiaomi has confirmed that it will be launching the Xiaomi 13 Pro smartphone in India on February 27. Now, a few days ahead of the launch, there’s one more big update that the brand has shared. Xiaomi India has confirmed that it will also launch MIUI 14 in the country on the same date. Xiaomi has already started rolling out MIUI 14 earlier, but Xiaomi 13 Pro will be the first to come preloaded with MIUI 14 on top of Android 13. MIUI 14 will come with many new features that will be unveiled on February 27. For now, check out what to expect from MIUI 14.

MIUI 14 in India: Expectations

Although Xiaomi has rolled out MIUI 14 for limited devices, full features of the UI are yet to be unlocked. Recently launched Poco X5 Pro 5G came with MIUI 14 but many features were missing from it. These features would be available only after the official MIUI 14 launch in the country.

Xiaomi will also announce the timeline for the update schedule of its smartphones. The global MIUI 14 launch is scheduled for February 26 wherein Xiaomi 13 series will also launch.

MIUI 14: New Features

Xiaomi has confirmed an ‘India-exclusive’ experience, meaning we will get some new exclusive features meant for Indian devices only.

Otherwise, MIUI 14 will be a simpler skin, not taking much space. It will occupy around 1.5GB less space than MIUI13. Pre-installed apps will be lesser (only 8, that too uninstallable), and optimizations for 3^rd party apps so that less power is consumed.

There will be automatic compression of apps that are not used too often and system fluency will be improved by 60% along with some visual changes as well. Just like every time, there will be new widgets, icon designs, customizable folders, and much more.

XiaomiAI Assistant 6.0, new privacy and security features, health sharing, and more are also expected.
