Xiaomi Mi 7 Or iPhone X?

Talks were that Xiaomi will jump on the notch bandwagon with its Mi 7 and the freshly leaked images confirm so. As one can see, the phone has an all-display fascia with 19:9 screen aspect ratio and a ‘familiar’ notch on top. Interestingly, the Mi 7 notch looks as broad as the iPhone X’x, giving it a resemblance to the Apple product.

The leak also gave us a glimpse of the phone’s flipside. The image showed two phones, one of alleged Mi7 and the other Xiaomi’s recently launched Mi Mix 2s. From the rear, both phones looked similar with vertically-aligned dual-rear camera setup and fingerprint sensor. The only notable difference between the two phones is that the Mi 7 has a curved back and rounded corners.

Xiaomi Mi 7 Features

Alongside the renders of Mi 7, a screenshot of the phone’s About section was also shared, which went on to reveal its specifications. The name of the phone mentioned in this section is “dipper”, which is the rumored codename associated with Mi 7. The photo further revealed that the Mi 7 will come running on MIUI 9.8.5.2-based Android 8.1 Oreo, and equip 6GB of RAM, a 2.8GHz octa-core Snapdragon 845 SoC, and 128GB onboard storage.

The Mi 7 could boast a 5.8-inch Full HD+ display, feature dual 16-megapixel sensors on the back and house a 4000mAh battery with fast charging support. We will have the official image of Xiaomi Mi 7 with complete and confirmed specs on May 23. So stay tuned!
