From the looks of it, vivo seems to be making a dramtic change with their V70 series smartphones. According to trusted industry insider Yogesh Brar, vivo is preparing to launch the V70 series in India by mid-February 2026. The lineup, consisting of the vivo V70 and the more premium vivo V70 Elite.
A ZEISS Pocket Studio
The headliner here is clearly the camera. Both devices will sport a triple camera system, but it’s the optics that have me excited. We’re looking at a 50MP primary sensor paired with an 8MP ultra-wide lens.

However, the real star is the 50MP 3X ZEISS Night Telephoto camera. Featuring a 1.3cm large sensor—the largest in its segment—this lens is designed to capture professional-grade portraits even in challenging light. To polish these shots, vivo is introducing its NICE 1.0 (Neural Image Computational Enhancement) algorithm, which promises to sharpen distant objects and reduce grain while keeping textures natural.
Flagship-Level Power
Vivo is also pushing the boundaries of performance in the V series. For the first time, we are seeing the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, Qualcomm’s top-tier “s” series chip, powering the V70 Elite. The standard vivo V70 won’t be a slouch either, tipped to feature the new Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, offering a balanced mix of efficiency and speed for daily tasks and gaming.
Software and India-Centric AI
In a significant software shift, the V70 series will be the first in the line to ship with OriginOS 6 out of the box. This brings premium features like Origin Island (a dynamic notification hub), an integrated Office Kit, and interactive Flip Cards that streamline your workflow.
Perhaps most interesting are the India-specific AI features. Vivo is leaning into local culture with the world’s first AI Holi Festive Portrait feature, designed to capture the vibrant colors of the festival perfectly. Other additions include AI Magic Weather and a unique Flower Blessing feature, adding a touch of localized magic to the user interface.

Pricing and Availability
While official confirmation from Vivo is still pending, our source tells us the V70 series is expected to be positioned competitively in the sub-₹55,000 category. This puts it very close to the premium ‘X’ series. With the “Elite” branding and flagship-grade specs, Vivo is clearly targeting the premium segment currently dominated by OnePlus and Samsung.
Stay tuned for more updates as we approach the official mid-February launch window.
