The California-based chip manufacturer Intel has finally released the Arc A580 graphics card for desktops. It’s a mid-range GPU that delivers 1080p resolution at moderate to high settings for several video games, like Diablo IV, Marvel’s Spider-Man, Cyberpunk 2077, and more. Further, the manufacturer also promises high frame rates for an elevated gaming experience.

Intel Arc A580 Specifications

The Intel Arc A580 graphics processor has 24 Xe cores and 24 ray tracing units. It maxes out at 1,700 MHz frequency and offers 8GB of GDDR6 VRAM. Users also get a 512GB/s memory bandwidth. The maximum power consumption of Intel Arc A580 is rated at 185W. For those catching up, the Intel Arc A580 is placed between the A380 and A750, the company’s other offerings.

Intel Arc A580 comparison

Per the official press release, the Intel Arc A580 “takes advantage of all the Game On driver updates for new and legacy games.” The GPU claims to provide 1080p resolution at high settings in games like Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. With Intel’s Xe Super Sampling technology (XeSS), the GPU can deliver an increased frame rate for supported titles. For instance, Hogwarts Legacy, which runs at 44 fps, can go up to 78 fps with XeSS enabled.

For content creation, the Intel Arc A580 features AV1 video encoding hardware (with Multi-Format Codec Engines), AI acceleration with XMX engines, and a streaming studio with Arc Control software. To manufacture the graphics card, Intel has partnered with ASRock, Gunnir, and Sparkle. Although Intel Arc A580 is available for $179 in the United States, it should also be available in other regions, including India, in the coming days.
