As the world of 5G is getting bigger, powerful modems are being released for smartphones. This brings us to the Snapdragon X70 5G modem, the fifth-gen and world’s first-ever 5G AI Modem-RF System from Qualcomm offering a peak download speed of 10 Gigabit which is unmatched by any of the predecessors.

According to the report, the new modem is equipped with high-end technologies such as Qualcomm 5G AI Suite, 4X carrier aggregation, Qualcomm 5G Ultra-Low Latency Suite, and all premises low latency, ultra-fast 5G  speeds, signal quality, and coverage among others.

The modem was able to hit a max upload speed of 3.5Gbps while being 60% more power-efficient than its predecessor thanks to the PowerSave Gen 3 technology on-board.

Snapdragon X70 Modem is a fifth-generation 5G modem from Qualcomm with a suite of features backed by AI. There’s 5G Dual Connectivity, mmWave (NS), sub-6 GHz, 5G Dual SIM Dual-Active (DSDA) along with other techs.

The modem is rumored to be embedded on the upcoming iPhone 14 series once the former arrives by the end of this year around the same time as the iPhone 14 series. Again, it doesn’t mean we are 100% sure about it but there’s news around its inclusion in the upcoming iPhone 14 series. This is also because Apple is reportedly working on in-house 5G modems as well so we could see that instead of the X70.
